Disconnection Detection

Hello!.....hello!!.....hello!!!....I can't hear you!!!! Sounds familiar? You're talking on the phone outside and without realizing it you begin to walk or drive away from the source of reception or things like trees on building get in your way and causes you to loose reception momentarily. Ever felt that way about your relationship with God? I certainly have. One day our communication with God could be going very well and the next thing you know we let things get in our way and disconnect us from God. For most it's temporary and unfortunately for some it is permanent. We tend to walk away from him without realizing the danger of it. We can not allow ourselves to be pulled away from Him and loose our life line, our reception to Christ. God said he will receive us unto himself, his arms are open wide, His ears are on call to hear our prayers. If we walk too far away and get crowded with the cares of this world we will soon be loosed from the reality that we are lost and separated from God. And until we get back to the source of reception we will not hear Him. We cannot afford to loose the call from God. We all have a call from Jesus and we will never know what it is unless we listen.

One other example of being disconnected from God is when we are not charged. When a phone is constantly on but never charged it will soon loose power until recharged again. If it is never charged again the battery will go dead.  Nowadays we don't have to throw away dead batteries, we can recycle them. Even ink cartridges can be recycled so that it is refilled with ink. This is the good news! There are a lot of us that can be recycled. Holy ghost filled Christians can get drained and should to be refilled to be able to fight against the wiles of the devil. But Why wait to be drained, we should be charged and filled with his spirit everyday. Don't let the devil, that old life sucker drain you, keep yourself armed at all times. Church, bible study groups, reading our bibles daily, prayer, fasting are all examples of being recharged, so surround yourself with people who love God.
We should be charged to be able to win souls for Christ and keep our connection with one who created us.

God bless you,
Shonell

Total Recall

I can't tell you how many times I have failed and life seemed to stop me in my tracks. Depressed, unable to function and wanting to hide my head in a hole in the ground. I needed a total recall in my life, a moment where God takes me back and transforms me, fixes me, perfects me. I had too many defects in my life, things that caused me pain and trouble. There was nothing and no one that could have fixed it but Christ alone. It's not that He created me imperfect but I have made a path for myself at times that disconnected me from him. I was putting my self on auto pilot and there was no control. We are like automobiles, when something goes wrong with us we need a fix, we need help. Auto owners call on the auto repairman to fix the problems but we pay a price for it and often times we pay more than we should. Everyday automobile companies recall cars to be fixed for free. When we are sick in anyway we go seek professional help, and whether it be a Medical Doctor, a Psychiatrist, or a Psychologist we pay for it. When Jesus recalls us, he calls us to help for free because the price has already been paid. Did you notice that when we go to so these called professionals we sometimes end up with either the same issue or with more problems than what we had before.  And we pay for it. God has an endless supply of solutions to our problems, answers to our questions, and restoration for our souls to make us new again. So let God put you on recall and come back to the great physician, the great creator of us all.

Object of your transformation

God often uses peoples ugly ways to transform us into what he wants us to be in him, whether it be patience or love or even humbleness. Until God is satisfied with the results, meaning we finally get what he's asking of us, the things that bug us the most will continue to be victorious over us. Becoming like Jesus in attitude and love no matter how hard it is to be humble to an "ugly" person or how hard it would be to love the way Jesus wants us to, to a person who is hard to love. Unconditional Godliness!

Sinful "ugly" people are not ugly because of the one's they are ugly against, but they will continue to strike a certain behavior or attitude in us that God wants us not to become anymore until we change.  Change in the people he calls will help the change in the people who does not know God like they should, if they know him at all. This happens to people he calls and chooses for his purposes we sometimes don't understand and it is all for his glory.

Sometimes folks can't even see the things they could be doing wrong or like my husband, who innocently does things that isn't wrong but irritates me anyway. That can strike an attitude in me which is not necessary. Like blowing up because the dishes aren't washed when I get home from work. Impatience is my downfall!
God is looking for me to be patient because if I can master that than he will open up a world of blessings he's waiting to give.

The devil came to kill, steal and destroy what God wants to build up in us, things like family, love, patience, wisdom and so forth. Don't let him. The devil can use your adversary to destroy any possibility of them being saved through your love for them. Don't let him! They could still continue to be "Ugly"  even if you don't let them get to you, but you can be sure that treating them the way Jesus would, would show you did every possible thing you could to win them to Jesus. This is not the love you think you may have for them but the love you should have for them. Keep in mind that everything we do or don't do according to God, we still have to answer to when we meet Jesus.

You have a personality that God wants to use for his glory and he will use it to change your enemy if you let him. I know this because it happened to me.

God bless you!

Knock and use the right key

Have you ever known someone that repeated the same action over and over again and knew it was hurting them? Did ever want to just take them and shake them and until stupid falls out? Well, so have I and I'm sure I had the same affect on someone else as well. Why can't we use what I call the "right key" method, where you keep trying all the keys on the chain until you find the right one to open the door. If you find a key doesn't fit then don't use it again or you'll get the same result, an unlocked door. Discard and try a different key. There should really be only one key to each door God puts before us. There are doors we open and walk into that are not where we should be and are dangerous places to go. But we have so many doors God gives us to open but we keep using the same keys that don't work. The same can be said when God says to knock, and it shall be opened unto us. So why aren't some of us knocking and using the right keys? Why do we repeat so many bad habits that hurt us when God constantly shows us the way we should do things?

He shows us the keys to a blessed, healthy life and a holy life with peace yet we choose to walk into ungodly and unhealthy situations. God shows us what works everyday in his word and it's all written out for us. It's like finding unburied treasure or walking into an open door finding something more precious than gold.  So stop using those old rusty keys that don't work and stop going into places that we force ourselves into. Jesus is so inviting and welcoming that we don't need a key to get into heaven, we just have to knock. However, with life ups and downs, bad habits and situations we have keys called solutions and answers given by God and we seem to mingle them with our own sets of keys. When god gives us a key to a problem color code it and recognize his will so we won't choose our own.

Pain greater than your desire

This title was inspired by a friend of mine Amanda Hill and her blog post "Greater Desire", she posted a wonderful message about going through pain much greater than your desires in this world in order to be in a place where you absolutely need God. Last night a another friend of mine was in that place. I'm not completely sure if what she is going through is the absolute pain she needs to totally submit to God, but it brought her to a place where she knew the only thing to do is pray and seek God for an answer. Without all the details, her life is going in a direction where God is calling her and she is going through some pain right now to get there. She moved into a house this summer that was for sale and it sold yesterday, and boy did she pray for help. God answered her prayer and now she has a couple of homes to choose from. Praise the Lord! Faith some times means going through pain first in order to hear God's voice, but on the other hand a blessing can increase your faith as well. Which one do you prefer? This post is inspired by Amanda Hill's  Keys to balance

" Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."  (I Peter 4:19)

You Must First Believe

What can I say that you that you don't already know? Believe.... it is a very orthodox word that's been around for well..since the beginning. I need not to say it for the first time but to remind us all to do just that, believe! Our faith in Jesus Christ is so important that if we don't have it we have nothing. We look around and see the very creation created without one finger and yet we question it without regard for the very air we breathe. Our lives were planned from the foundations of the earth and we can't seem to fathom that it can be true.

Our children from the beginning of hearing sound, believe we are the momma and dada without even understanding what the words momma and dada means. They just know we are taking care of their needs and they believe it. Children believe in a creator, they believe in Jesus because we tell them God is real even if we can't see him. They believe because they are innocent and their minds are vulnerable to what ever an adult tells them. Why can't we be like the children and just believe because the bible tells us so?

The reason why is because as adults we have grown out of our innocence and have been subjected to too many lies and deceptions. We can be like sponges in the beginning but soon the sponges get dirty and bacteria grows. Like a sponge filled with bacteria, whatever it touches it spreads the bacteria around. We have to soak up the blood of Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Ghost to be new and clean again, if that makes any sense. We need to be cleansed and washed in his blood through baptism. However, before that could ever happen, sincere belief, faith in Jesus Christ  with all our hearts must take affect.  We must step out in faith and believe that god will fulfill his word. We can not waiver and doubt no longer, fear is not an option! Noah believed God when he said it would rain 40 days and nights and out of faith he started his 100 year or less mission to building the ark. Abraham believed God for a great nation, promised land and a blessed seed. Wow....What faith he had! What kind of faith do we have?

"And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
(Mark 1:15)

Abram believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness (Gen 15:6)
